Here are a few more tweaks, just in time for the holidays:
- With the new Shape Filtered switch, brush shapes come in smooth or crunchy.
- Locked layers are back for PSD import, along with support for all languages in layer names.
- We’ve squashed a bug with layer merge, so the bottom won’t fall out when you pinch.
As always we’ve got huge things in the works for 2018, and the first one is massive but also small: Procreate Pocket 2!
Requires iOS 10.0 or later. Compatible with iPad.

The best drawing and painting app for iPad. A must have for iPad Pro and Apple pencil owners.

I’m disappointed with the new update.
The stacks are messy looking. Just like some people prefer piles, some people prefer folders and I am solidly in the folder camp. Please go back to the way it was or make messy stacks optional. Also, when I add a drawing to a stack. they don’t keep their name. I’ll name a stack “sketches” and every time I add a drawing to it it will change back to stack 4. Lastly, I can’t seem to be able to pull drawings out of a folder/stack. Not sure if I need to just search for how to do it, but regardless- it should be intuitive. My organization is a mess now and I can barely stand to use the app. It’s that bad.
Also, shapes. For the love of god shapes. How such a beautiful app has such elaborate brushes but no way to create a circle is beyond me.
And one last thing, make a standard palette with basic true colors. I had to hunt to find and input the numbers for true black, white, red, etc. I get that the comics palette is pretty, but a basic and familiar color palette are a nice jumping off point and dare I say it, even necessary for a lot of users.
Otherwise, great program, very intuitive, beautiful drawing experience. Why I bought the iPad Pro in the first place.
